WHAT IS HELSINT?

        HELSINT   S.A.L.  is a company specialized in the product development plants, obtained ecologically of pure monocultures, organically processed and botanically selected, destined for human use, as much as medical products as nutriceuticos and cosmetic foods, and for ecological agriculture.

HISTORY

        HELSINT  S.A.L., founded in 1988, as a company of Management and Research acquired in 1989 an agricultural property of 100 acres near Yojoa lake at North of Honduras, suitable for all the environmental exigencies that require the growth of some local Polypodaceas (ferns), empirically used during many years to treat differents diseases, and on which already it had very outpost his researches.

        HELSINT  S.A.L. established in 1989 their branch HELECHOS INTERNACIONAL HONDURAS (HIH), which is charged of all activities of culture, harvests and manufacturing the differents products dreived from these cultures in Honduras.

        In 1991, HELSINT adcquired togheter with their branch HIH, the industrial plant localized at El Picacho, municipality of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, for the processing and manufacturing of diverse natural matters of their manufacture.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

        HELSINT  S.A.L.  through his branch HIH, is the only company of the world that developes pure monocultures of Polypodium leucotomos and Phlebodium decumanum, organically processed in the factory of Yojoa lake, within the absolute respect of the Biodiversity. The careful culture, growth, botanical controls, harvest and dried of the leaves and rizhomes, are operations developed previously to the processes of extraction and purification of different products.

        The first cultivated plant, ecologically, in the plantation of the Yojoa lake, was Polypodium leucotomos.
      A hidrosoluble fraction, purified and standard of this Polypodium leucotomos, is used like the component assets of DIFUR, a pharmaceutical speciality developed and distributed nowdays in Spain and other countries by Industrial Farmacéutica Cantabria, a spanish pharmaceutical company.

        One second plant, Phlebodium decumanum, botanically very close to the Polypodium leucotomos, is also object of ecological and very specific culture in the plantation of the Yojoa lake. Differents formulations containing a hidrosoluble fraction, purified and standardized of frondes of Phlebodium decumanum, registred as EXPLY-37, have been developed as functional foods in the United States, Central America and Europe, making in this contries a series of patents, and trade marks on the basis of our product EXPLY-37 and its applications.
